February 3rd - Poem 3 "My Love is Yours!"

This will be my first poem not in english. I have decided to write this one in Latin, but I will also write the english under it so more poeple can read it than just the handfull in the world who understand Latin.

Latin
Do anima, vobis cor.
Do tibi osculum do amor.
Oculis caeruleis tuum inspirare hoc rithimo.
Amor meus tibi habere sempiternam.

English
I give you my soul, I give you my heart.
I give you a kiss, I give you my love.
Your blue eyes inspire this rhyme.
My love your to hold for all time.

February 2nd - Poem 2 "Sleep in the Land of Dreams"

Tired am I.
Lost and confused in the sea of dreams.
Shadows survive,
And in them I see the light redeemed.
Failure accures,
But do not falter.
For if you curse,
Why then even bother.
I see the silver in the grey,
I see the light in the dark.
I see the homestead, hey.
I see the might of a deed to hark.
Though deeds now done,
I grow weary still.
Sleep now, sleep,
In a land of dreams.

February 1st - Poem 1 "The Lonely and the Loved"

My first online poem. I hope you enjoy.

My soul is set heavy,
Chains weigh me down.
Yet vibrant and alive,
My heart is sound.

I hear the hollow moan,
I hear the hollow scream.
I wonder who they are,
I want to set them free.

Though now the sun is set,
I feel the sadness roll.
Such beauty is not meant
For lonely to behold.

I travel now to her,
My one true love.
I set my sight on her,
Those sapphire eyes of love.

My Poetry

So today I decided that I would be writing poetry in more than just english. I want to share poetry with many different cultures and that requires multiple languages. My first poem tommorrow is still undecided though, so I guess we'll all just have to wait.

Poetry in Motion - Begins

In this blog I will be posting my poetry for the world to read. I will start on February 1, 2011 and I will end on February 1, 2012. In 365 days I will have 365 poems posted. Sometimes I will post 1 poem every day for a week or so, and others I may post 7 poems in 1 day and not post again for a week. But the result in the end will be the same. For all you poetry fans out there, enjoy!
